Today I cut the opening for the French doors in the west wall. Of course, it took longer than I thought. Then I got the OSB panels up for the north wall before it got really dark. I still have to fully screw down the panels to the studs and cut out two window openings. Thanks to day light savings time, the sun sets earlier now, so I will have virtually no sun light to work on the playhouse after work.

Playhouse West Wall
Today I had just enough time to mount the plywood for the west wall before the rain set in. I still have to cut out the big opening for the French doors.

The East Wall
I finally put up the OSB plywood on the east wall of the playhouse, and it really helps make the structure more stable and rigid. I feel much more confident about my design and construction work now! Of course I still have a lot more plywood panels to put up, but I won't be able to do it until after the next forecasted rain fall this coming Thursday.

Dormer Modification
So I think the dormer roof looks better than the flat top roof. I extended the dormer roof gable out to the east wall to make it simpler to build. Before I modeled the change in my CAD, I thought it might look weird, but it looks acceptable.

Simpler Dormer Roof
Here's an idea I am considering for a simpler dormer roof to make it easier for me to build.

Playhouse Dormer Roof
I've been delinquent designing the framing for the dormer roof I want to put over the loft level, so here is my first stab at it. I will need to refine this further, because some 2x4's are not lining up very well.
